posting results were out today. fetched mom from work with dad. he bought the newspaper. and there was this one page regarding the speech Dr Vivan Balakrishnan and Mr Imram Mohamed made to malay leaders in the AMP. and yeah. dad emphasized that i shouldmust read it. and yes, i read it when we got back. it just really woke me up so bad. i mean, yeah, the leaders up there, they're working so hard to prove their abilities to be role models to us all. but no matter how hard they try to improve the malay community, the number of people in the rehabilitation centre still consists of mostly malays. the cases of teenage pregnancies are also mainly the malays. and the divorce rates, we increase them. i mean, i don't quite think it's the race issue.
i personally think that it's their own self-believe and self-confidence. well, basically anything that has got to do with themselves. i mean, it's they themselves who decide how they're life would be.
and now, all i want is to study and study and study, and see how far i can go. if i can go further, and it nothing stops me, i will. i mean, it's just really sad to see the conditions of my own community.
